LessBees is a campaign which I did together with four other students. The goal of the campaign was to raise awareness among students of the shrinking biodiversity. We decided to use bees as our mascot, as that is one of the many animals suffering from the lack of biodiversity.
To get the information to the students we first put up stickers around Breda with a site that would explain the campaign more in depth. We then stood in the park to hand out beers and start a conversation between students. We also hung posters in the park, which could be scanned with an app. The app would then play an animation over the poster itself, showing what would happen if we keep ignoring the shrinking biodiversity.
My main responsibility was the sticker design and the logo, which would be put on the beers. I first drew a rough outline of how I wanted the bee to look.
After I had chosen which bee would look best I started to experiment with colors and outlines.
We eventually decided to use the same background as the one that was used on the beers itself. I then made some more iterations of the bees, but they were eventually not used in the final design.
